Terms of service
The ground rules for using BillSplitterApp.
Last updated: May 22, 2026
Using the service
BillSplitterApp is a free tool that helps people split shared bills by entering receipt details, claiming items, and calculating what each person owes.
The calculations are provided for convenience. You are responsible for reviewing the bill, checking the amounts, and making sure the final totals look correct before requesting or sending money.
BillSplitterApp does not guarantee that every amount will be correct in every situation. Restaurant receipts, taxes, service charges, discounts, fees, and tip preferences can vary, so you should always verify the split before settling up.
Acceptable use
You agree to use BillSplitterApp responsibly.
You may not use the service to commit fraud, mislead others, spam people, harass anyone, or share links in a way that is abusive, deceptive, or unlawful.
You may not try to interfere with the site, overload the service, access data you are not meant to access, or use BillSplitterApp in a way that could harm the site or other users.
Disclaimers
BillSplitterApp is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do our best to make the tool useful, accurate, and available, but we do not promise that it will always work perfectly, be available at all times, or produce calculations that match every possible receipt, tax rule, discount, fee, or payment situation.
BillSplitterApp is not a bank, payment processor, tax advisor, legal advisor, or financial advisor. We do not hold, move, transfer, or process money. Any payment happens outside BillSplitterApp through the payment method users choose.
If BillSplitterApp opens a third-party payment app or helps pre-fill payment details, you are still responsible for reviewing and confirming the payment inside that third-party app before sending money.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BillSplitterApp and its owner will not be responsible for any losses, disputes, incorrect payments, missed payments, overpayments, underpayments, data loss, service interruptions, or other issues that result from using the service.
Your use of BillSplitterApp is at your own risk. If you are unhappy with the service, your only remedy is to stop using it.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of BillSplitterApp after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
